Yes, its been soooooo, soooo long since I've done anything here. I've been working, going to school, doing commissions, yadda yadda.

But I am still working on more art. I've been doing fine otherwise.

I want to thank you for the card, despite what you may think, its not simplistic because you still thought of me. I apologize for such a late reply. But I'm alive and kicking, and hoping to post new art in due time. I'm over GS and GSD, and into G 00, of course.

I wouldn't go as far as saying you need lessons in anatomy and/or perspective but...in future if you have to totally reconstruct a character's form and posture it might help to get an opinion or two from others. Everyone makes mistakes after all, especially the more grandious the undertaking. Hope to see more of your walls here in future. Until then, take care!

well i really wanted to use that scan for a while so i thought if i was going to use it, and if i was going to have to recreate parts of it then i might as well do it the way i want it lol

and i wanted to do something with different details to any scan for a while now, so i thought that the scan of her i used in the wall would be a good place to start and try something a bit different from what i would normally have done

hehe if you saw the original one, then you'd have second thoughts lol it actually did look a bit silly at first before i went ahead and changed it the original background i did with the candy turned out... well... it kind of reminded me of like a cartoon sort of thing like a warped cartoon that looks weird but you get the idea lol

I love vectors of Lelouch and CC and was amazed I hadn't seen one of this scan before. Anyway, the hair is usually the most difficult part of vectoring characters but in this case I'm also impressed at the details you maintained on their outfits. More often than not finer details are lost in the vectoring process.

Your vector is beautiful. I couldn't find anything noticably wrong with the frills. The details on the bottle and her hair impressed me a little. My one other complaint is her eyes. I see very distinct poligons there and I think it would have benefited from some filtering. Other than that, everything's lovely.

Hey andrew-kun Well in the original the fluffs were blurred, so I blurred them. I knew people wouldn't like it though. But if I didn't blur them they would just look like random circles.

Yeah it's true, she lives in my head. And she gets very upset if I ignore her for awhile. It's like you said, she guilts me into it. It doesn't help that I have a Lacus figure staring right at me too.

I'm glad you like most of the vector. Her eyes have always been like that, haven't they?

Thank you for your recommendation about the eyes, I couldn't think about that, I re-watched some SEED OP ED and figured out that Lacus eyes' color was purple-blue instead of purple.

This is a beautiful wallpaper and I look forward to using it when I get my new widescreen monitor. I remember the scan being in two halves so you probably had to redraw some of it. And you vectored the colors extremely well. Especially her hair where you can see all the subtle levels of shading with the glow. Finally you put a lot of detail into the eyes.

Your watermark is a bit obvious at the bottom though. Hopefully the taskbar will conceal it. Anyway, it's a very lovely wall and a pretty decent vector too. Adding it to favs! Thanks for sharing it here. Until the next time, take care!

i liked lacus pre-seed destiny. then...i just no longer had an opinion of her. her character became so flat and 2D. =/

Ah yes, Lacus and her 'idol' mnipulative techniques that arent all that obvious cause of her 'just' and 'innocent' look I can spend too much time figuring out how the character could've been brought up to become that

Can I touch it? Pretty please? LOL! Kidding aside, this vector's elite status is well-deserved. I did however notice two things about it that bugged me a little.

One is the tiara on Chikane's head. After vectoring it doesn't look like it belongs there anymore; almost as if you pasted it on as an afterthought, you know? In your place I probably would have edited it out completely since it looks simple enough even for my lowly level. The second is that rose hanging between her (deliciously-plummeting) neckline. Again after vectoring it looks a bit out of place and, well...'artificial' for lack of a better word. I think it probably looked that way in the original scan too but probably less so because of the quality?

Bah, enough nitpicking. Let's move on to the good points. Conversely you did an absolutely amazing job with their eyes. Those are seriously beautiful eyes. Their hair and all the frills and tresses of their outfits were well-done too. And as abul pointed out, I love the thin outlines.

So despite my nitpicking (I feel so small and petty) you did a marvelous job. I wanna fave it but that tiara really bugs me, I'm sorry. But I still love it and I hope you'll keep up the good work. I'll eagerly await your next vector. Until then, take care!

I totally agree with you about the crown and the rose. You know why they look different? I used stroke-path to outline them instead of the shape layers. Because I'm lazy that way I usually do that with small details. Maybe next time I'll kick my lazy self into doing it properly

You feel small and petty? Don't worry about it My vectors aren't perfect and if people never pointed it out I wouldn't improve. You don't have to fave; it bothers me when people fave every single things one of their friends does, just because they're friends. When they do that it's not really a fave then, in my opinion. You should only fave your favourite works. (Sounds kinda "duh", huh?)

Yes yes I know, most people like yourself are probably loving the plunging neckline I can't help it! I'm a girl and when I see other girls doing that I can't help but wanna cover them up! Have some self-respect girl! But I understand I've just never liked ecchi and things like that so I try not to do such works

Flincher Trigger...I like to use subtle names to name my projects, but the name means is that Cagalli is "flinching" at the pistol, making sure she doesn't blow her eye out when she cleans it, thus the "trigger" of the gun. Of course, I did want to reverse the names and make it "Trigger Flincher"...But that didn't sound right to me.

Moving on...I can imagine how much trouble this image was to vector considering the source image. Even though I looked it over with a critical eye, the only minor problem I could see with this is the black smudges in her hair from where you blurred out the lines. They're only noticeable when you scrutinize it at full-size though.

Aside from that, marvelous job. There's even a hint of highlight around her lips, which is a nice touch. I imagine the HAIR would have been more trouble than the face or hands, but like you said...only you know your frustrations. LOL! All things considered, another excellent vector. This vector was definetely a challenge, I'm glad you didn't see any problems with the actual vectoring! Sorry about the smudges, I think I blurred the outlines too much, next time I'll blur it less.
I guess the hair wasn't too difficult because even if the source pic was hard to see, I already know what her hair's supposed to look like. Her face however is more detailed, and the angle she has her head at was part of what took me so long to figure out. But I'm glad you think it turned out well! My hiatus just ended so I should be back at it now. Thanks for commenting and faving
